Well... mostly good! I've acquired more books since I started, so it will take me longer overall, but I've kept on track. Except for one new purchase, I've also stuck to reading books in alphabetical order.
Books I've read so far: Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy; Little Women; The Prydain Chronicles; Pride and Prejudice; A Little Princess; Peter Pan; Jane Eyre; Love, Dishonor, Marry, Die, Cherish, Perish, A Novel by (David Rakoff - this was the new purchase I read out of order)
I also read Pippi Longstocking as part of the book club I'm in.
What I liked: Peter Pan was probably my favorite re-read, but it's hard to say! Pippi Longstocking was a new read for me, and while it was interesting, it was made more so by the fact my book club spent almost two hours discussing it!
What I disliked: Sadly, David Rakoff's novel was probably my least favorite. I admit the way it's written - in rhyme! - but parts of it fall flat, and caused the storyline to be uneven. The beginning of Jane Eyre was also a pain to slog through.
Something that surprised me: How much I liked the books I re-read! I can't say I've had a fully negative experience yet. Even books I didn't like when I read the first time (Pride and Prejudice) - I came away with more positive feelings the second time around.
What I'm reading next: The Illumination by Kevin Brockmeier; The Outsiders for my book club.
