Don we now our gay apparel (1)

Two years ago, I had a goal of dressing up four times before Christmas.  Quite unexpectedly, I decided to resurrect that goal this year!  (I'm taking the "dressing up" label more casually, especially with this outfit.)

My first outing was Jordan's work party, on the sixth.  Jordan initially told me it was "casual, like you can wear jeans and stuff", but I had a feeling it was a little fancier than that.  My hunch was correct, as Jordan told me that evening it was actually business casual.  I think my outfit ended up being the perfect blend of business and casual!

My apologies in advance for the slightly blurry photo and goofy face.  We were in a rush to get out the door.
(What a shock.  Seriously, can we ever be early for once?)
(Actually, we were early for church a few weeks ago.  Woo hoo!)

Tank top:  Clothing swap
Sweater:  Goodwill
Jeans:  H&M
Boots:  Merrell, from REI

I love this tank top, but it wrinkles in a second.  I had de-wrinkled it before this picture, honest.

Also, it's hard to tell in the picture, but I'm wearing a little bit of makeup!  Christmas miracles, they do happen.

  1. I love the little bit of sparkle on the top! We are pretty much never early for anything, but it's all Angel's fault, I swear. When I'm alone I can get places early!

  2. I really like how that top drapes, even if it wrinkles right away. I really hate when things wrinkle that easily...they should have to advertise that on the label!

  4. Beautiful! I would have never known you were wearing makeup- it looks so perfectly natural and light.

I also would have never seen any wrinkles, but hey- everything I wear is wrinkled in seconds! :)

  5. Ooh, I like the top!

I feel that unless you're intentionally doing Dramatic Makeup (as in, I Want To Be Noticed, not I'm Starring In A Play), you *shouldn't* be able to specifically tell that it's on. It should enhance in an unidentifiable way. Personal bias...I think you look great. =)
